The position
Aligning to the Council Plan, this position will lead on the planning and development of strategies, services and projects to build the capability, culture and performance of the Information Services Department. Integral to continuous improvement is establishing and fostering strong relationships with internal and external client groups to understand business and community drivers.
Reporting to the General Manager Governance and Engagement, the position oversees long term IT Strategy, corporate information systems, digital services and full cycle IT infrastructure. Team development is critical, facilitated through empowering, motivating and developing staff within an environment that promotes diversity, trust and respect. The position currently has five direct reports across a breadth of information service accountabilities.
Success requires that you have a proven track record in technology and data governance leadership, both operational and strategic know-how and extensive experience in managing complex and integrated project delivery. Underpinning your technical leadership is your exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Relevant tertiary qualifications are expected along with a contemporary understanding of digital transformation, informational technology sector developments, cyber security and risk management.

Services are also available to support new businesses, maintenance of roads, footpaths and drains, waste collection, youth services, libraries, sports grounds, arts programs, festivals and more.
