The Position
The Alcohol and Drug Foundation (ADF) is seeking a dynamic and collaborative professional to lead the design, development and implementation of new programs and services that will provide a positive impact in reducing alcohol and drug related harm in Australia.
Reporting to the Head of Program Development and Evaluation, the Manager works closely with senior ADF staff nationally as well as key external stakeholders and partners. The role will drive the establishment and continual review of efficient and effective programs, including the testing of models of practice and obtaining community feedback.
With excellent leadership abilities, the Manager will be able to work collaboratively, building positive and proactive networks across a range of stakeholders. Considerable program development experience at a senior level will be essential, ideally with experience in the leadership of a large scale preventative health program.  The appointee will also be able to manage significant program budgets and experience in acquiring funding from government and other sources would be an advantage.  Undergraduate and ideally postgraduate qualifications in a field relevant to community program management will be highly regarded.
Alcohol and Drug Foundation
Established in 1959, the Alcohol and Drug Foundation (ADF) is a leader in preventative health in Australia with a long history of significant contributions to state, national and international alcohol and drug policy and programs.
Passionate about prevention, with a belief that it is always more effective than cure, the ADF uses advocacy, education, information and evidence-proven grassroots programs to change Australia’s drinking culture and reduce harm in communities from alcohol and other drugs. Active in over 7,000 sporting clubs around the country, the ADF reaches millions of Australians every year through sport and other community activities.  The organisation is experiencing continuing growth: doubling in size and revenue over the last five years, representing significant opportunities.
