The Position
Drive Council’s extensive capital works program on-time and within budget in a manner that is sustainable and ensures value for money to the community. Through your leadership of a cohesive and integrated team, effectively manage our extensive public asset infrastructure program, actively engaging with Council and the community with exceptional customer service.
Reporting to the Director Infrastructure, you will lead the development of best practice, sustainable management practices and systems with respect to Council’s capital works program development, projects delivery, asset management strategy and facility maintenance. Proactive OH&S and employee wellbeing management are key requirements. The role also requires sound financial and budgeting capability.
The successful candidate will need to bring extensive experience in the development and program oversight of a diverse range of civil, building and open space related projects. Local Government experience would be an advantage. Along with technical credibility you will have built a reputation for collaborative people leadership and engagement.
Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Architecture or other field related to projects, maintenance services or asset management are expected
