The Position
In the context of the City’s natural values, plan for environmentally sustainable growth, minimising waste and increasing the circular economy, this position leads the community and the organisation in the delivery of best practice sustainable outcomes and managing high profile contracts including waste management and conservation management.
Success will come creating and developing a high-performing team to deliver on objectives, in a complex organisational environment and executing complex projects and change initiatives. The role requires a proven leader that can deliver expertise in both sustainability strategy and large waste contract management.
The role reports to the Director Infrastructure and Environment and has four direct reports covering conservation management, land management and biodiversity, sustainable policy and programs: and water and recycling.
It is essential to have a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability and/or Waste Management, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
