The Position
At The Big Issue (TBI), as the National Communications and Partnerships Manager you will play a key role in the development and implementation of large-scale strategic communications, PR and media marketing strategies (including digital), events and campaigns for The Big Issue magazine, as well as other TBI social enterprises.
Reporting into the Chief Communications Officer, you will work collaboratively with the senior leadership team to increase sponsorship, advertising and subscription sales in turn contributing to the growth and success of TBI.
We’re looking for a communications and marketing professional with a proven record of leading a successful operational communications and marketing function. You are known for your hands on approach to partnership development and your ability to excite and engage key stakeholders and partners. You are self-motivated and delivery focused with a highly developed set of organisational and project management skills.
A tertiary qualification in marketing or communications will be well regarded. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. Candidates from a variety of sectors are encouraged to apply.

The Big Issue Australia is an independent community organisation that develops and operates social enterprises and creative, sustainable solutions to overcome poverty by providing opportunities for homeless, disadvantaged and marginalised people to positively change their lives.
These enterprises operate much like traditional businesses and all revenue goes towards further advancement of The Big Issue’s goals.  They include The Big Issue Street Magazine Enterprise, the Women’s Subscription Enterprise, The Big Issue Classroom and The Big Idea amongst others.
