The University of Notre Dame Australia seeks an exceptional National Head of School, Education to provide leadership and drive the advancement of the School in line with the University’s mission, strategic direction, and identity as a Catholic higher education institution.
Reporting to the Executive Dean, Faculty of Education, Philosophy and Theology, the National Head of School will lead, guide and coach a dispersed team of staff and students, while representing the University to external stakeholders and managing the School’s resources to achieve the optimum outcomes for the University.  Leading collaboration across the University and externally, the National Head of School will create opportunities and synergies, driving excellence in research, learning and teaching.
The successful candidate will bring a record of outstanding academic achievement in education, with substantial leadership, management and administration experience, and superior communication skills.  With a commitment to excellence in education and demonstrating enthusiasm and determination to be part of a successful leadership team, the successful candidate will play a key part in driving the Faculty to meet its strategic goals.  PhD qualified, the Head of School will have an understanding of current issues in higher education, outstanding personal qualities of openness and integrity and a commitment to equity and collegiality.
The role will be based at the Sydney campus.
