The Position
Kilvington Grammar School seeks to appoint an exceptional educator and inspirational leader to the position of Principal, given the decision of the incumbent, Mr Jon Charlton, to leave at the end of 2021 following 19 years of outstanding and distinguished service to the School.
Reporting to the School Board, the Principal will lead an energetic, dynamic and committed team of staff to continue to drive the School’s commitment to strive for academic excellence along with the development of well-rounded individuals who become people of depth, strength, integrity and character. The Principal will also actively work to promote the aims and values of the School and enhance its standing and reputation.
Equipped with appropriate tertiary qualifications and an outstanding record of educational leadership, the ideal candidate will have a history of and passion for excellence and innovation in teaching, including a strong commitment to continuous improvement across all areas of the School. Presenting with a strategic and progressive mindset and displaying high emotional intelligence and outstanding interpersonal skills, the appointee will have a supportive and collaborative style that nurtures, challenges and inspires students and the broader school community. Aligned with the School’s faith and values, the new Principal will possess a strong desire to be part of a thriving community.
The appointment is effective from January 2022.

Kilvington is an independent, coeducational Baptist school in Ormond, Melbourne, with approximately 800 students enrolled.
