The Position
Westbourne Grammar School seeks to appoint an inspirational leader and role model to the position of Principal, following the decision of the incumbent, Ms Meg Hansen, to leave at the end of 2021 having given a combined twenty-five years of exemplary service to the School.
Reporting to the Board, Westbourne’s Principal will be responsible for the educational leadership, overall management, and strategic direction of the school.  In leading a highly professional, experienced, and committed team of staff, the Principal will continue to implement the Strategic Intent and work to foster a culture of integrity, professionalism and success whilst promoting the school’s aims and values.  As the leader of this sizeable enterprise, the principal will ensure the long-term sustainability of the school through prudent financial stewardship and the implementation of active growth strategies.
The successful candidate will be characterised by a dynamic and inclusive leadership style that nurtures, challenges and inspires students and staff.  Demonstrating a distinguished record of leadership within the education sector, the new Principal will combine a passion for excellence in all aspects of school operations with a strategic and forward-thinking mindset.  Strongly aligned with Westbourne’s vision and values, the new Principal will display a genuine desire to actively contribute to this thriving community.
