The Position
Villa Maria Catholic Homes (VMCH) seeks to attract an exceptional leader and relationship builder who has significant experience in developing, implementing and evaluating programs for students with high physical, intellectual or medical needs.
Reporting to the General Manager of Specialist Education and Evolving Disability Services you will manage the direction of the school and play a key role in collaboration among teachers, staff, students, families and the School Advisory Council.
The ideal candidate will create a curriculum to cover key learning areas and support students with ongoing learning and social development needs whilst participating in the wider community. Ensuring the standard of service and education is maintained at the highest possible level will be a key element of this role.
You will be a strategist who understands the benefits of the corporate structure within which the school sits. You will have experience developing and leading the delivery of education services with both strategic and operational business plans; managing financial, budget and reporting obligations and supervising risk and quality management initiatives.
The Organisation
St Paul’s College (a VMCH specialist school for children aged 5 to 18 years) celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. When it first opened its doors in February 1957 it catered for vision impaired children. Today the school provides education and support to children with a wide range of intellectual, physical, profound multiple and sensory disabilities, as well as complex medical needs. With a focus on communication, the school is committed to working in partnership with families, ensuring each student has access to comprehensive educational, developmental and therapy programs to enable them to develop their full intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual potential. St Paul’s College is an accredited school for children with autism.
