  • Reposition and reshape Federation TAFE for the future
  • Lead the delivery of outstanding education and training in regional Victoria
  • Drive a new strategic vision for vocational education and training in a dual sector university

Federation University Australia seeks an outstanding and highly strategic executive with strong leadership skills to drive a new strategic vision for Federation University TAFE.  This key role will provide the strategic leadership to realise the University’s growth agenda for vocational education and training, providing the very best outcomes for students, employers and the community.
Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, this is a significant leadership position, with accountability for the development and implementation of new strategies and the creation of a new-wave collaborative model for vocational and higher education in a dual-sector context.  Working with key stakeholder bodies, the Pro Vice-Chancellor will lead the development and promotion of innovative vocational education programs based on strong, long-term partnerships with industry.
The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding and experience of the vocational education and training sector in Australia.  Outstanding leadership and communication capabilities will be essential, with the ability to engage with and influence a range of stakeholders, both internally and with government and industry.  Possessing strong business and strategic acumen, a results-focus and the ability to drive and manage organisational and cultural change, the appointee will bring a passion for creating opportunities and outcomes.  A relevant post-graduate qualification or equivalent is mandatory.
