A key leader within Council’s Senior Management Team and the Business Transformation Directorate, this position is critical to leading Merri-bek’s digital and customer experience transformation.

The Program Director is responsible for shaping, leading and delivering digital and customer experience transformation across the council, alongside stakeholders and business sponsors.

 

The Position

This newly created role has been established following robust due diligence and consultation, coming with strong commitment form the organisation’s executive to embark on a well-planned change mandate.

As a key leader within the Senior Management Team and the Business Transformation Directorate, this position is critical to leading Merri-bek’s digital and customer experience transformation.

Responsible for developing and rolling out a new program for enterprise technology transformation within Council; the Program Director will be well versed in working through discovery, business case and shaping and delivering transformation programs and projects.

 

The Program Director is responsible for shaping and leading digital transformation and delivering, alongside stakeholders and business sponsors:

  • a positive internal and external customer experience.
  • improved service delivery; and
  • business efficiency and effectiveness through effective use of new and improved digital services bringing together people, processes and technologies.

 

To be successful in the role you will bring a track record of success in developing and delivering enterprise technology and customer experience transformation and be well versed in working through discovery, business case development and shaping and delivering transformation programs and teams.

You will drive customer service transformation and better ways to deliver service delivery of community outcomes through the effective use of digital services (including people, processes and technologies).

Program management expertise is required along with demonstrated ability to think strategically and capability to develop innovative solutions to complex issues.

You will have a reputation for collaborative stakeholder engagement, pursuing continuous improvement, a high-performance mindset and as an accountable team player. Your experience must be in integrated model delivery.
