The Position
Ambulance Victoria seeks to appoint a driven and collaborative Program Lead, Accessibility. to join its newly established Equality & Workplace Reform Division. This position will play a key role in designing, coordinating and improving Ambulance Victoria’s program of work to create a safe, fair and inclusive workforce, focusing on improving the accessibility and inclusiveness of the workplace and services for people with disability.
Reporting to the Senior Lead, Diversity & Inclusion, the Program Lead Accessibility, will play a key leadership role in the development, implementation and evaluation programs that make information, activities and the work of AV and service delivery environment, as meaningful and useable for as many people as possible, particularly for people with disability. Managing the end to end delivery and operational aspects of these projects, the Program Lead will apply evidence based co-design and change management principles to deliver inclusive practices and identify change outcomes that strengthen fairness and transparency.  As a subject matter expert, leader and facilitator on inclusion strategies for people with disability, the Program Lead will ensure objectives are understood and implemented in the workforce. The Program Lead will develop key stakeholder relationships within and external to AV, partnering and collaborating to  manage and implement high priority initiatives.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of diversity, inclusion and engagement projects, to improve the workplace and service delivery outcomes for people with disability.  With an in-depth knowledge of large scale change management and exceptional stakeholder and partnership development skills, the appointee will have experience working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders on improvement activities. Knowledge and understanding of both Victorian and federal equal opportunity, human rights and related legislation, policy and frameworks, particularly as they apply to people with disability, will be key to the success of this role. Conceptual and problem solving skills, resilience, adaptability and empathy will also contribute to success.
