The Position
Ambulance Victoria seeks to appoint a collaborative and driven Program Lead, Gender Equality, to join its newly established Equality & Workplace Reform Division.  The Program Lead, Gender Equality will play a key role in designing, coordinating and improving Ambulance Victoria’s program of work to create a safe, fair and inclusive workplace, focusing on improving gender equality outcomes for all employees and patients.
Reporting to the Senior Lead, Diversity & Inclusion, the Program Lead, Gender Equality, will play a key leadership role in the development of programs and activities to advance gender equality outcomes, through the application of best practice techniques, tools, methodologies and process for sustainable, organisational wide reform. The Program Lead will apply evidence based codesign and change management principles and strategies and deliver inclusive practices for the employee and patient experience, for women, men and gender non-binary people. The Program Lead will also work across the division to coordinate, analyse and interpret valuable data that will support key reform activities and present research and reports to key stakeholders in regard to governance and the promotion of new practice, policies and procedures.
The appointee will be a subject matter expert, leader and facilitator on gender equality issues and have demonstrated experience in achieving measurable gender equality outcomes for employees and service users.  With a deep understanding of prevention and experience in developing and implementing complex projects and change, the successful candidate will also have knowledge and understanding of Victorian gender equality, equal opportunity and related legislation, policies and frameworks.  Excellent stakeholder and partnership development skills and highly developed communication skills, including the ability to prepare high quality reports and presentations for a range of audiences will also be key to the success of this role.  The ability to challenge and improve process and thinking, resilience, empathy and adaptability will also be important attributes for success.
