Gertrude Biomedical is a young, growing, Melbourne based biotechnology company, established by scientific and medical experts in the field and supported by private equity partners. Passionate about developing novel therapeutics to treat serious human vascular diseases, Gertrude Biomedical has developed a strong plan to deliver exceptional outcomes over the coming years.
The Project Manager will report directly to the CEO and will work closely and in parallel with the Head of Medicinal Chemistry, managing the current scientific workstreams. With a strong R&D pipeline in place, the Project Manager will plan and manage biology project activities, milestones, resources and budget. The Project Manager will also collaborate and engage with a broad range of stakeholders including scientists based in Australia and overseas to enable momentum and achieve project milestones.
The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise in managing a drug development pipeline and exceptional project management skills ideally from the biotechnology or closely aligned sectors. With a minimum of a Masters’ Degree majoring in biochemistry, pharmacology or biology, experience from a commercial environment will also be highly regarded. The ability to prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders including board and investors will also be an important aspect of this role.
With strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in an agile environment with changing priorities, the successful Project Manager will be self-motivated while working closely with a collegial and collaborative team. Time management skills, a very good attention to detail and excellent organisational skills will also be key attributes for success in this role.
