The Position
Mentone Grammar seeks an exceptional property manager to ensure the smooth day to day operation of the school in a way that supports the school’s mandate for student, staff and visitor safety in attractive buildings, gardens and grounds.
Reporting to the Business Manager, this role will provide leadership and strategic advice in the administration and delivery of high-quality services and support in areas such as building lifecycle management, essential services, cyclic/general maintenance, safety and risk management, project management and capital expenditure budgetary control. As School Chief Warden, the incumbent will ensure that safe work environment standards are applied and maintained for all staff, students, visitors and contractors.
With exceptional stakeholder relationship management skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills, the ideal candidate will be able to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Relevant tertiary qualifications in building or property maintenance, or an associated trade are required with a minimum of five years of related work experience.  A current Working with Children Check is essential.
