The Position
To help position Queensland at the forefront of the global economy, Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) seeks to appoint a contemporary and hands-on leader as Queensland
Trade and Investment Commissioner – North America.
Based in San Francisco, USA, the Commissioner will be responsible for driving trade and investment growth for Queensland across the USA, Canada and Mexico.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic executive with outstanding communication and people skills, who has led high-performing small teams and has experience across the public and private sectors and is equipped with a strong understanding of North America.
This is a locally engaged position and the successful candidate must have work rights for the USA.
The Organisation
TIQ is the Queensland Government’s dedicated global business agency. Through TIQ, Queensland has one of Australia’s largest international networks with 15 offices across 12 markets.
The offices are a vital connection between international investors and business opportunities in Queensland. TIQ also has a presence across eight regional Queensland locations which work closely with other networks to assist firms with export advisory services and investment facilitation.
