The Position
This position has responsibility for all key regulatory, operational and compliance functions to ensure that this exceptional School meets its legislative obligations and is effective in ensuring that all risk practices are best practice and align with the expectations of the Board of Directors.  The appointee will provide the Leadership Team and Board with appropriate advice, reporting and an penitentiary based compliance framework as the importance of operating in a safe environment is subtly reinforced.
The ideal candidate will have formal qualifications in Risk Management or WHS and a strong understanding of compliance/risk and emergency management standards and theory within similar environments where transparency, oversight and action underpin all responsibilities.
The successful applicant will have outstanding relationship management skills, with the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with, and gain support from, stakeholders whilst exhibiting refined problem-solving skills.  Effective planning and development skills with the ability to prioritise workload and manage competing demands is essential. A background in legal or analytical functions would be well regarded.  This role could potentially be offered as a flexible four days a week arrangement.
