About the role

Reporting to the Head of Governance, the Senior Coordinator Risk & Compliance will be responsible for leading the risk and compliance team by developing a high-performing team culture and managing Council’s risk exposure by building a risk aware culture increasing awareness and understanding of the organisation’s risk exposure, including fraud, corruption and procurement related risks.

Success will require a leader with an appetite for providing quality and strategic advice, and supporting organisations to ensure effectiveness of risk management policies and procedures.

About you

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in risk and compliance, including a sound understanding of risk management principles, standards and processes.

It will be important to have strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated experience in applying new and emerging approaches to risk management.

We are seeking self-starter with a strategic mindset who has a strong background in government and thorough knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks.
