  • Create and report meaningful insights that meet the evolving needs of the organisation

The Position
Ambulance Victoria (AV) is looking to appoint a curious and talented person to join its newly formed Equality & Workplace Reform Division as the Senior Data Analyst. This position plays a critical role in AV’s workplace reform agenda by tracking reform initiatives and importantly, will showcase their outcomes and impact. This transparency is key to the success of the sweeping reform.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Program Monitoring and Evaluation, the Senior Data Lead will develop, implement and maintain robust systems to monitor specified deliverables and will create and report meaningful insights that meet the evolving needs of the organisation. A key element of the role will be to present analytic findings to senior management and translating detailed specialist data and concepts for non-expert audiences.
Equipped with proven experience as a data analyst or business data analyst including working with, and analysis of, large and complex data sets, the successful candidate will be experienced in distilling complex analysis into meaningful narratives and visualisations for senior management and non-expert audiences. Presenting with strong conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills, the incumbent will be collaborative and team oriented, highly organised and customer oriented. A tertiary or post graduate qualification (preferably in data related discipline) would be advantageous.
The Organisation
At Ambulance Victoria we are proud to share our commitment to save and improve lives by providing outstanding care for our patients. It is our promise to every patient and it sits at the heart of everything we do. No matter what corporate or support role you play in delivering our critical services to the Victorian public, you join a team dedicated to bringing our vision of ‘Outstanding emergency health care every time’ to life.
As a valued member of AV, you will enjoy a professional working environment that recognises the importance of work/life balance. Although there will be a requirement to maintain a presence at Headquarters, flexible working arrangements are available and will be discussed with the successful candidate. We offer salary packaging options, generous personal leave entitlements, accrued days off for full time roles, and other benefits including free on-site parking.
Occasional travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria may be required.
Successful applicants will need to have received the mandated COVID-19 vaccinations and be willing to complete pre-employment screening including a Police Check.
By applying for this position with Ambulance Victoria, you agree to undertake an assessment of any Secondary Employment or outside interests, in line with AV’s Secondary Employment procedure. This is required to ensure there is no perceived or actual conflict of interest for AV should you be successful and commence in the role.
At all levels of AV, a diverse and inclusive workforce allows the organisation to deliver Best Care to the Victorian community, and helps create a healthier, more productive workplace for the people within AV.
