The Organisation
McKinnon Institute for Political Leadership (MKI) is a non-partisan organisation committed to contributing to a better future for Australia by raising the standard of political leadership in Australia through providing professional development for aspiring and established political leaders and their advisors. McKinnon Institute was formed from a partnership between the Susan McKinnon Foundation and Monash University, with an aim to generate significant, long-term benefits for Australia and to build Australia’s future capacity to meet social and economic challenges.
 
The Opportunity
As Senior Engagement Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of stakeholder engagement and business development strategies, further building on MKI’s reputation as a premium provider of professional development for political leaders.  You will liaise with senior internal and external stakeholders to establish and maintain mutually beneficial relationships and contribute to MKI’s continued growth and success. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Academic Director and MKI board members, you will participate as a senior member of the management team, responsible for the achievement of MKI’s strategy and business plans.
This role is offered on an initial 2-year fixed term contract with the option for renewal and comes with attractive benefits and conditions.

McKinnon Institute is seeking an exceptional leader with a demonstrated understanding of the Australian political system and outstanding communication skills.  With a proven track record in building effective and productive partnerships, you will hold relevant postgraduate qualifications and bring experience working at senior management levels within a complex environment.
