The Position
Ambulance Victoria (AV) is committed to creating a safer, more inclusive and more equal workplace based on recommendations from the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission. The organisation has accepted the Commission’s recommendation to establish a new organisational response to complaints of unlawful and harmful conduct and accordingly, AV seeks to appoint highly credible Senior Investigators to provide professional and trauma informed services to support complex and sensitive investigations. These positions will play a key role within the Professional Standards and Behaviours Department.
Reporting to the Principal Investigator these roles will participate in the assessment of complaints and providing effective resolution in response to allegations. Â A key function will be to respond to legislative complaints, offences and allegations of corruption and misconduct or unlawful behaviour. Prepare investigation reports in a prompt and professional manner. Ensuring sensitive, people-centred complaint management approaches that protect, comply with legislation, support policies and AV corporate objectives.
The successful candidate will have experience undertaking complex and sensitive investigations consistent with the relevant legislative and industrial requirements. Excellent written skills, experience preparing reports, recommendations on complex issues and provide clear support and actions to support this.
There is no mandatory qualification required for this role, however formal qualifications in investigations, employee relations and/or industrial relations would be highly regarded.
