The Position
The School of Nursing and Midwifery is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and well-qualified midwife to provide leadership within an innovative and energetic team, and to influence the next generation of midwives.
The School provides a comprehensive range of academic programs to prepare students for positions in nursing and midwifery. It is committed to developing strong partnerships locally, nationally and internationally through its collaborations with health professions, industry and the broader community. This is an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced midwife to have an influence on the next generation by teaching into our Undergraduate and Postgraduate Midwifery courses.
The opportunity exists to pursue a workload balance tailored to the individuals interests and aspirations. Those interested in furthering their research will have the support of a strong and innovative research team. Dedicated research time will assist in achieving great outcomes. This can be blended with an appropriate teaching load or those wishing to take a career path as a teaching focused scholar will also be supported.
The ideal candidate will be PhD qualified and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Candidates seeking the next step in their career are encouraged with a significant focus on contemporary and collaborative individuals who embrace a woman centered midwifery philosophy.
