The Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) and the Crawford School of Public Policy are seeking an outstanding candidate to further develop its excellent research profile and to maintain its successful post graduate programs.  The appointee will influence significant research activities of ANZSOG as Deputy Dean (Research) and be a key member of the ANZSOG Research Committee and the Policy and Governance Department within the Crawford School of Public Policy.
With a focus on demand-based research, the Chair will shape strategy and set the agenda for the best way to engage with government.  Working collaboratively with the ANZSOG scholarly and senior practitioner network, the appointee will foster relationships with universities, governments, departments and agencies domestically and globally to inform research priorities.
With a postdoctoral qualification in public administration or other relevant discipline, the successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of scholarly activity, including an interest in engaging with early career researchers, a strong publication record and evidence of success in competitive grant funding.  Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills will be essential, with the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with key stakeholders.
