About the opportunity

The Director, HR Performance, Workforce Planning and Insights will lead the ongoing development and improvement of HR services and capabilities and enable data-driven workforce planning across the University.

This role will provide high level leadership and expertise to guide the University Executive and senior leaders to identify and make strategic decisions around workforce priorities and solutions, leveraging data and reporting insights from the HR Workforce Information and Reporting team, using analytics to provide insight-driven recommendations and strategies.  The Director will work closely with other analytics and HR teams, such as HR Partnering, to develop and embed workforce planning frameworks and HR capability.  The role also leads the development of the HR operating model, service performance measures and oversees the HR continuous improvement program.  Partnering with the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Director communicates workforce plans, insights and HR performance to University governance bodies and senior stakeholders.

About you

The successful candidate will possess a demonstrated track record in creating, overseeing, and nurturing a motivated, outcome-driven, team-oriented environment.  With a background in formulating and executing intricate change and transformation initiatives, you will also demonstrate experience in crafting and implementing HR service and performance metrics that are easily comprehensible to senior executives.

The Director, HR Performance, Workforce Planning and Insights will bring experience in HR project delivery, including a demonstrated ability to measure and track progress and return on investment and experience in the development of HR strategy and policy, and experience in implementing HR lifecycle processes.

Term and remuneration

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.  The position will be offered on a full-time, fixed term contract for five years.
