The Victorian Catholic Education Authority (VCEA) seeks an outstanding candidate for the position of Chief Education and Integrity Officer (CEIO), to lead activities to promote and uphold educational integrity and compliance and support the enrichment and development of the Victorian Catholic education system.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and leading a team of around 20, this important position will oversee education integrity and compliance, strategic education programs, risk and audit and legal counsel.
With demonstrated executive leadership experience, the ideal candidate will bring superior communication skills, with the ability to create and manage a dynamic organisational culture and to foster relationships with a range of stakeholders. Bringing an understanding of the legislative and regulatory environment for schools in Victoria, the CEIO will have strong conceptual and analytical skills. With experience in developing integrity reporting frameworks, the CEIO will be able to lead data driven decision making to inform policy and meet organisational goals, supporting growth and opportunity.

The organisation
The Victorian Catholic Education Authority (VCEA) is established by the Archbishop of Melbourne and the Bishops of the Dioceses of Ballarat, Sale, and Sandhurst as the State authority for Catholic school education in Victoria. As the peak body for Catholic school education in Victoria, VCEA receives and distributes funding from state and federal governments for Catholic schools and provides strategic leadership and planning, ensuring proper governance in Catholic education state-wide.
VCEA is responsible for sector leadership in education integrity and governance and is the Review Body for Catholic schools, appointed by the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA). As a Review Body, VCEA reviews and assures the compliance of Catholic schools and school boarding premises with the requirements for registration.
