Professor Matthew Mundy is Executive Dean, Health and Education at Torrens University

Torrens University sought a dynamic, creative, resilient and responsive individual to take responsibility for the academic leadership and management of the Faculty of Health and Education, ensuring strong academic integrity and ongoing research development and quality improvement.  The University was pleased to appoint Professor Matthew Mundy to this important position.

An education leader, cognitive scientist and online teaching and learning expert, Matthew brings a track record in research that uses cognitive neuroscience techniques to investigate healthy learning and memory.  Matthew is passionate about high quality teaching and brings an ability to infuse research-driven change into tertiary education, through his understanding of the psychological science behind learning and memory.

Matthew previously spent over 11 years at Monash University, most recently as Academic Director of Monash Online and previously Director of Education in the School of Psychological Sciences.
