Associate Professor Romy Lauche is Deputy Director (Research), Professor of Statistics and Epidemiology at Southern Cross University

Fisher Leadership has been delighted to continue our partnership with Southern Cross University, leading the appointments of the leadership team of the newly-established National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM).  With a strong evidence-based scientific and multidisciplinary research focus, the Centre will play a leading role in postgraduate education and research in naturopathic medicine, while enhancing the future growth and development of the profession.

Associate Professor Romy Lauche brings a background and qualifications in psychology and medical sciences, with extensive experience in clinical and non-clinical research, systematic reviews, meta-analysis, mixed-methods research and statistical analyses of large population health datasets.  With research interests including the examination of naturopathic and complementary medicine and other physical therapies, Romy is member of several societies and editorial boards and has published more than 170 journal articles.  She is also an experienced supervisor of postgraduate students.  Before Romy joined SCU this year, she had been Research Director in the Department of Internal and Integrative Medicine, Sozialstiftung Bamberg, as well as a Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Australian Research Centre in Complementary and Integrative Medicine at the University of Technology Sydney.
