Chris Tanti is the new Chief Executive Officer at the National Disability Services. Chris is an experienced CEO within both the private and public sectors who can demonstrate experience both nationally and globally. Chris’ most recent appointment was that of Chair and Chief Executive with SafeSpace, a start-up youth health organisation in California, USA. Chris undertook all activities to establish and implement clinical services in designated sites, engage the community and attract philanthropic support. Prior to this Chris was the Chief Executive Officer at headspace for a period of 10 years. Chris initially established headspace as a provider of mental health services to young people, grew the organisation and delivered revenue. Chris transformed the organisation from the University of Melbourne to an independent not for profit, engaged multiple funding streams and expanded the clinical footprint nationally and internationally by 2016. Previously Chris was the General Manager of The Melbourne Clinic, Australia’s largest private mental health service providing inpatient beds, standalone day program centre and an outreach service. In this capacity Chris managed the hospital through a refurbishment, increased hospital occupancy, and renegotiated longstanding consulting suite deals to generate revenue. Before this Chris’s career included roles in mental health operations and youth alcohol and drug service delivery.
