Donald Ritchie is the new Principal Advisor to the Chief Judge at County Court Victoria

Donald Ritchie is the new Principal Advisor to the Chief Judge at County Court Victoria, a role that provides strategic support in the delivery of the Chief Judge’s vision for the County Court and the court system.  As part of the County Court’s Executive Leadership Team, this key role also manages the staff of the Chief Judge’s Chambers.

With experience across legal work, research, policy, project management and governance, Donald has most recently spent nine years at the Sentencing Advisory Council in legal policy roles, most recently as Manager, Legal Policy and Community Engagement.  He has also acted in the Chief Executive Officer position, managing and coordinating Secretariat and Council operations.  Donald also brings experience in researching legislation for the Chief Judge and other judges as Legal Research Officer to the Chief Judge at the District Court of Western Australia.
