Dr Debbie Massey is the new Associate Professor and Group Lead Nursing at Southern Cross University

Associate Professor Debbie Massey is the new Associate Professor and Group Lead Nursing at Southern Cross University.  In this role she will champion the academic leadership of the School of Health and Human Science’s nursing portfolio, during a time of significant growth.

Debbie brings over 30 years’ experience in research, clinical nursing and education, with extensive experience in leading and managing academic staff.  Most recently Senior Lecturer in Nursing at the University of the Sunshine Coast she has also led the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine NURTURE research cluster, where she has developed research capacity, administered several seed grants and managed the School’s research budget.  A former academic at Griffith and Oxford Brookes universities, Debbie has also worked at Queensland Health as a senior manager, a registered nurse and a research coordinator.
