Dr Lance Emerson is a new Board Member at the Australian Red Cross Blood Service

Dr Lance Emerson is a new Board Member at the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, where he will participate in governance and setting the strategic direction of the Blood Service, overseeing its operations and ensuring effective management for an efficient and quality service.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Victorian Agency for Health Information since January 2018, Lance has 26 years’ experience in the health sector, including 21 in CEO and executive management roles.  He brings a strong history in driving positive cultural change, delivering outcomes, increasing staff commitment and productivity and improving creativity and innovation.  Previously the CEO and Company Secretary of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, Lance was also CEO and Board Director of the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth for over six years.  He has held a number of board positions and Ministerial appointments.
