Gary Seach is the successful candidate for the Executive Director Finance and Business Services role at Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN)

In this position Gary will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure that CALHN can optimise its resources to deliver high quality, highly performing and efficient care for its communities.

With extensive experience gained in not-for-profit and public sector organisations, Gary demonstrates leadership and change management experience across a broad range of functions including operations, finance, risk, IT and procurement.  Most recently, Gary has been undertaking a number of contracted management consulting engagements, including a role with TAFE NSW as a Program Director.  Gary’s role was to ensure the successful establishment of the TAFE Digital operations.  He oversaw the recruitment of over 80 roles, led the construction of the new headquarters, and developed all the business processes required to ensure the effective operation of the new business unit.

Prior to this Gary was the Chief Financial Officer with La Trobe University where he led over 80 staff across the Finance and Procurement functions.  Gary was involved in the processes to set strategic and operational directions for the University, while also identifying and managing financial approaches to fund the strategic initiatives.  During this appointment, he was a Board Director on the $200M AgriBio Joint Venture with the Victorian State Government.  

Previously, Gary spent three years with the University of New England, originally commencing as the Deputy Director Finance before moving into the Director role. Gary’s earlier career included over ten years with SAI Global, with roles as Global Financial Controller and Financial Controller – North America.

Gary holds a Bachelor of Accounting from University of South Australia and a Certified Internal Auditor Program from Institute of Internal Auditors.
