Kate MacRae is the new Chief Executive Officer at Able Australia. Kate previously worked in a number of leadership roles within Monash Health since joining in 2007. Kate’s most recent roles at Monash Health previously included being appointed the Chief Allied Health Officer and the General Manager Clinical Services overseeing a combined workforce of over 3500 staff in medical, nursing and allied health. During Kate’s tenure patient satisfaction in subacute care improved significantly. Kate also delivered substantial budget savings in nursing agency and secured funds for the redevelopment of the existing Shire offices into a Health Centre. During her tenure at Monash Health, Kate was selected as the inaugural Advisor to Chief Executive Affairs for 12 months. Prior to Monash Health, Kate held director positions at Peninsula Health, where she increased the size of the department; and earlier at Vision Australia Foundation – Mt Eliza, providing robust management of quality, clinical risk, finance and operational service delivery.
