Kellie Lyneham is the successful candidate for the Head of Senior School role with Carey Baptist Grammar

Kellie has gained significant experience within independent school environments over the last nearly twenty years and has held the position of Deputy Principal Student Wellbeing with Korowa Anglican Girls’ School (K-12) since the beginning of 2015.   Kellie is responsible for the oversight of student focuses senior school operations and the academic and social/emotional wellbeing of all students. Kellie is also accountable across the Academic Care Programs offered by Korowa, including learning support programs and English as an Additional Language provisions. Wellbeing Support services offered by the school fall within Kellie’s remit, including educational and developmental psychological services, counselling support and health centre services. As a member of the leadership team, Kellie is required to manage operational budgets, implement the strategic plan, and she contributed to the development and implementation of the Korowa Strategic Educational Intent (2017-2019). Kellie has retained a teaching role, with classes in English, Personal Development in addition to being an Advisor for Year 7,8 and 11.

Prior to joining Korowa, Kellie spent ten years with Melbourne Girls Grammar. Originally commencing as the International Student Coordinator, Kellie also held positions as Indigenous Scholarship Coordinator and Head of Body Mind and Spirit.  For the final four years of her engagement with MGGS, Kellie held the position of Director of Middle Years, responsible for the academic and social/emotional progress of all students in the Middle Years Program (Years 5-8). Kellie was a member of the Executive Team, managed and developed teaching staff and developed and implemented a renewed Middle Years curriculum. A key achievement for Kellie in this position was the implementation of a contemporary wellbeing program for Years 5-8. The program allowed the school to take a proactive and integrated approach to pastoral care, ensuring all factors in the student’s life worked to maximise their learning and development.

Kellie’s earlier career included roles within the Junior and Middle School at Wesley College (St Kilda Road Campus) in addition to a teaching position at Newhaven College.
