Lynette McKeown is the new National Director Quality and Innovation/Senior Practitioner at Able Australia. Lynette is a qualified health professional with over 20 years’ senior leadership and management experience spanning primary care, community, and acute care. She offers international and interstate experience in healthcare, working with a variety of service and governance models, systems and processes; and specific to disability, has experience in healthcare reforms, quality and innovation. Lynette previously operated for the Advisory Services function of Johnstaff, an organisation providing consultancy services, working with multidisciplinary teams on multifaceted projects, offering healthcare experience and expertise to help clients improve performance and manage risk. Prior to this she held multiple senior executive and project management positions at Monash Health, most recently as Executive Advisor to the Chief Executive and within the Patient Safety, Innovation and Strategy portfolio. Before joining Monash Health, Lynette held leadership and specialist nutrition and dietitian positions as part of the National Health Service working with St George’s Hospital in the United Kingdom and other public healthcare services. Earlier in her career Lynette successfully operated a small private practice, ‘North Coast Dietetics’ for eight years, commencing in April 1997 and concurrently was the Senior Dietitian at the Townsville Hospital and Charters Towers Health District from 1996 to 2000.
