Sam Rosevear is the new Executive Director Strategy, Impact and Policy at headspace

In this position he will lead a division to comprehensively understand, evaluate and effectively communicate the impact of headspace on individuals, families, communities and the broader health systems. The role also includes organisational strategy and driving headspace’s policy advocacy agenda.

Sam brings a 25-year track record of success in driving reform, with extensive senior executive experience in Federal and State Government, higher education and the not-for-profit sector. He is a mission driven senior executive with expertise in policy development, advocacy, government relations, influencing and stakeholder engagement, strategy, measuring and communicating impact, proactive leadership and people management.

Prior to his appointment at headspace Sam held the position of General Manager, Strategy and Policy at Beyond Blue. Earlier in his career Sam was Director, Policy & Government Relations at Teach For Australia; Deputy Secretary, Policy at Victorian Department of State Development, Business and Innovation and Chief of Staff to Vice-Chancellor at University of Melbourne. Sam spent 15 years in the Federal Government, including in Treasury and Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Sam holds a Master of Art and a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours (Politics) from University of Adelaide.
