Tracy McLeod Howe is the new Chief Executive Officer at White Ribbon Australia. Tracy offers extensive experience of 18 years’ in senior leadership and executive positions in early intervention for women and children experiencing domestic violence and ranging from senior legal advisor in federal government through to being CEO of civil society social change membership and advocacy organisations including Domestic Violence NSW (DVNSW) and the NSW Council of Social Service. Having previously lead NCOSS, Tracy successfully conducted a total restructure and rebrand and grew its membership within the first eight months. She has also recently finished a two-year appointment as Commissioner at the NSW Law Reform Commission. Before this Tracy was the CEO of the NSW Women’s Refuge Movement but led a change agenda including a name change to DVNSW. In this capacity she implemented to completion the business and constitutional changes to enable the birth of DVNSW which filled a gap in the sector and is now the peak body representing specialist domestic violence services across NSW and a driver of cultural change and campaigns.

Prior to this she managed a Western Sydney and Blue Mountains women and children’s domestic violence accommodation, outreach and support service and successfully tendered for funding to start an innovative program under the Homelessness Action Plan “HAP” to provide support to women and children who have experienced domestic and family violence across. Earlier in her career as Senior Advisor, she operated in a Federal Government Department providing ministerial liaison and advice and specialisation in child support legislation.
