Dr. Zachariah Matthews has been appointed as Principal for Malek Fahd Islamic School

Zac has been an educator in leadership and Islamic Studies for more than twenty years. He works actively to support youth and contributes to numerous community initiatives.

Zac joined MFIS in the position of Director of Faith and Australian Islamic Identity in July of this year.  Zac works with the Executive and collaborates with key stakeholders in order to deliver the School’s vision for success with his primary focus being on strengthening the School’s Islamic values and ethos in an Australian context.

Earlier, Zac held positions as Deputy Principal with Western Grammar School, Head, Extracurricular Programming with Unity Grammar College and prior to joining the educational sector Zac had an extensive career in Pharmacy, with his final position being that of Director of Pharmacy at Canterbury Hospital.
