Mr. Shadi Hanna has been appointed to the position of General Manager, Aged & Primary Care with Merri Health

Mr. Shadi Hanna has been appointed to the position of General Manager, Aged & Primary Care with Merri Health, commencing on 6 February 2023. In this position, Shadi will oversee the growing Aged and Primary Care Division and will lead the delivery of best-practice, high quality services, that strengthen the capacity of individuals and communities across the growing areas of north and west metropolitan Melbourne region.

With over 20 years professional experience in community services across health care providers and local government authorities, Shadi has a strong history in developing and managing operational and capital budgets, complex programs, and a wide range of services. Shadi thrives in leading multi-disciplinary teams to meet the service needs of highly diverse communities while demonstrating a commitment to equity, inclusion, and service excellence.

Shadi was in the position of Acting General Manager Community with Darebin City Council and has held the position of Manager Supported and Connected Living. Before joining Darebin City Council, Shadi was General Manager Clinical and Aged Services at Sunbury Community Health and earlier in his career, spent seven years at Merri Health as Manager Allied Health.
