Ms. Nichola Krey has been appointed to the position of Victorian State Director with Australian Red Cross and commenced in January 2024. In this position, Nichola will be responsible for the optimal delivery and performance of impactful community programs across realms such as emergencies and migration. She will work towards positively positioning Australian Red Cross within the community and building strong relationships with local and state government and other partner organisations is a key element of the role.

With a track record of leading diverse teams in complex development, disaster, emergency and recovery contexts as a senior leader for over twenty years, Nichola is an experienced executive in government and not for profit sectors with a demonstrated capacity to lead diverse teams and deliver excellence in strategy and program outcomes.

Prior to joining Australian Red Cross, Nichola was employed by the Department of Health where she held the positions of Director of Strategic Engagement, Director of Targeted Programs and Director of Rapid Response Engagement. Before that, she was Regional Director of Programmes in the Middle East/Deputy Regional Director of Norwegian Refugee Council and for a period of four years, was the Humanitarian Director of Save the Children.
