Ms. Rachel O’Keeffe has been appointed to the position of Co-Director – Women’s & Children’s Directorate with Barwon Health

Ms. Rachel O’Keeffe has been appointed to the position of Co-Director – Women’s & Children’s Directorate with Barwon Health commencing on 11 July 2022. In this role, Rachel will be responsible for strategic and operational leadership of the directorate and the development of service plans and KPIs to contribute to the achievement of the Directorate’s and Barwon Health’s strategic plans and objectives.

Rachel is an engaging and passionate leader who has significant experience leading teams of over 300 staff, with a focus on women and children’s health. Moving to Victoria from NSW seven years ago, Rachel has gained experience in various communities, including aboriginal health services, regional environments where access to services has been challenging for some and those that have had high social disadvantage.

Rachel is currently the Director of Midwifery for Eastern Health and the Associate Program Director for Women & Children’s at Box Hill Hospital. She has previously held the positions of Associate Director of Nursing at Angliss Hospital, After-Hours Hospital Administrator at Sunshine Hospital and After Hours Manager at The Women’s.
