  • Financially empowering people who build community
  • Steadfast financial approach and strong results

The position(s)
Bank First exists to serve essential workers in vocations such as education, nursing and allied health – those working to create a more resilient and strong community. The Board is seeking expressions of interest for two Director positions as part of its Board succession planning and renewal arrangements.
Paramount to a Board appointment is the requirement to have a passionate commitment to the core values of Bank First and its future ambitions as it embarks upon a journey of transformation and continued customer service excellence. Areas of experience and capabilities of particular interest are health, digital technology, banking, law and business strategy, with an AICD qualification or equivalent, or a commitment to complete. The Board currently has six Directors and has good representation from the education sector.
Individuals appointed will bring a reputation for strategic foresight, collaboration and the highest standards of ethics and integrity. Previous Board experience is highly desirable.
Appointments are for up to three years and remuneration applies.
Board members are required to attend monthly meetings, along with strategy and planning sessions, and ongoing professional development.

The organisation
Bank First is owned entirely by its customers. Profits are reinvested into the organisation and return value to Members.
Since 1972 it has helped over 200,000 Australians with their banking needs; from managing their money and saving, right through to purchasing their first home and planning for retirement.
Driven by care and compassion, it is committed to providing a better banking experience to all the people and occupations that drive a better community.
Bank First seeks to be a trusted and responsible corporate citizen, through initiatives to reduce its impact on the environment, initiatives that give back to the community, and by being a responsible lender and basing pricing on a fair exchange.
