Partnering with the Executive Leadership and the wider Senior Leadership Teams, the Chief Executive Advisor shares accountability for influencing organisational-wide leadership to ensure the Blood Service delivers on its strategic and business goals.
Anticipating the requirements of, and reporting directly to the Chief Executive (CE), the appointee will take accountability for central coordination of operations and planning, ensuring the timely flow of information to and from the office of the CE. The Chief Executive Advisor will act as a strategic partner, connector and conduit between employees, senior leadership, executives and key stakeholders. With a collaborative and agile style, the Chief Executive Advisor will both coordinate and undertake a range of often complex, technical and/or highly sensitive activities, including research and analysis, and will drive special business projects.
The appointee will be detailed in approach while taking a ‘whole of organisation’ focus. S/he will be a visible operator who is politically astute and a pragmatic thinker. Integrity, discretion and insight, as well as a demonstrated history of influencing and building strong relationships, are key requirements.
The appointee will relate to the purpose and values of the Blood Service. Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.
