The position
Reporting directly to the CEO the Chief Operating Officer is a critical leadership position within BlueCross as the organisation continues to expand further and navigate the way forward post- merger. With approximately 3,700 employees, the position is responsible for the entire operations and delivery of key projects for BlueCross.
A key function of the position will be to provide contemporary strategic leadership to enable continuous improvement of operations at BlueCross. In addition, the Chief Operating Officer will provide future direction and build operational capability within the organisation.
The successful candidate will be a strategic and inspirational leader, with outstanding stakeholder engagement skills coupled with extensive large-scale operational experience. With a commercial mind and demonstrated experience operating within a complex environment, the ideal candidate will be recognised as a strong leader who will work collaboratively as a member of the executive team. The appointee will be innovative, engaging and present with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.  The ideal candidate will bring broader healthcare experience, including an understanding of clinical risk.  Aged care sector experience will be advantageous as are tertiary qualifications.
