The Position

The establishment of Grampians Health in November 2021 brought together four health services to deliver safe, sustainable and long-term healthcare tailored to the changing needs of the communities it supports.  The organisation now seeks to appoint a Chief Redevelopment & Infrastructure Officer (CRIO) to provide strategic leadership, oversight and guidance on infrastructure and capital planning and projects across Grampians Health.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the CRIO will be responsible for ensuring all sites of Grampians Health have appropriate capital infrastructure necessary to support the delivery of safe and effective healthcare.  Additionally, a substantial focus of the role will be leading the redevelopment of the Ballarat Base Hospital.  As a member of the executive team, the CRIO will also lead a range of healthcare support services including catering, cleaning, engineering and linen services.

With prior experience working with diverse internal and external stakeholders, the successful appointee will be a dynamic and collaborative leader with highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills. It will be vital for the appointee to engage with and build connections with the local community, demonstrating the core values of Grampians Health in all interactions.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of technical expertise to lead the strategic development and decision making for the Redevelopment and Infrastructure division.  A broad understanding and experience of government policy and funding in relation to the delivery of major projects will be required.  The successful candidate will combine major project delivery experience with engineering and management skills.  Appropriate tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or Health related field are essential.
