The position
Firbank Grammar is seeking to appoint a visionary, experienced and dynamic educator to the position of Deputy Principal/ Head of Senior School – to ensure that exemplary leadership and management practices are fostered, modelled and grown in the teaching and learning program at Firbank Grammar.
Reporting to the Principal, the Deputy Principal/ Head of Senior School ensures the effective and efficient day-to-day operation of the Senior School, providing both strategic and operational leadership. The Deputy Principal/ Head of Senior School will be responsible for the establishment and nurturing of a learning and performance culture in a protected, stimulating and dynamic environment embedded in contemporary pedagogy and student wellbeing practices.
As a highly experienced educator, the ideal candidate will have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to motivate staff and influence student learning outcomes. With a commitment to the professional development of staff and a focus on the themes of empowerment of team, diversity of thought and leading through change, the appointee will possess high energy, be results driven and have a practical approach. The ideal candidate will possess values which align with and support the School’s philosophy and vision.
The School
Firbank Grammar School was established in 1909 and today caters for over 1200 students. Year 7-12 girls at Brighton Senior School campus, ELC – Year 6 girls at Brighton Turner House campus and ELC – Year 6 coeducational at Sandringham House Campus. The community is enriched by boarders who join the Brighton Senior School campus from rural areas and overseas.
