The Position
The Victorian Government recently committed significant funds to support parents with infants and young children, via 7 additional Early Parenting Centres across Victoria. QEC has been nominated to support 3 of the new centres (in Frankston, Ballarat and Casey). The funding package also included funds to refurbish QEC’s Noble Park site.
As a member of the executive leadership team this newly created role reports directly to the CEO and works closely with the Board, CEO and QEC leadership team. It will lead QEC’s involvement in the Early Parenting Centre sector expansion and represent QEC’s interests with stakeholders.
Championing QEC’s Model of Care and Practice Framework across the organisation, the role will oversee contemporary and evidenced-based services and support a culture of learning and innovation. Maintaining the QEC’s ethos and values, the Director of Clinical Innovation and Development will identify opportunities to develop and improve services to meet the needs of families and communities.
Adopting an innovative and collaborative approach, the Director will offer an understanding of child and family health, alongside of well-developed stakeholder skills to work with the Executive and Board. The successful candidate will have outstanding executive presence, and offer a leadership style that nurtures, challenges and inspires staff. Sector experience across public/ community health or community services is welcomed and relevant tertiary qualifications preferred.
The Organisation
Formed in 1917, QEC is Victoria’s largest provider of residential and community based Early Parenting Services. We deliver a variety of different programs to more than 3,000 families annually – directly and in partnership with government and other providers across metropolitan and regional Victoria.
QEC provides state-wide early parenting and community services through its registered public hospital based in Noble Park and with locations in Wodonga, Preston, Dandenong, Carrum Downs, Morwell and Bairnsdale.
