TasTAFE seeks an outstanding candidate to lead engagement and partnership with industry, ensuring the incorporation of feedback into new training product development to support continuous improvement, sustainability and excellent outcomes for students.  The Director, Operations, New Products and Centres of Excellence will contribute to the development of policy, planning and strategy to improve industry responsiveness and business outcomes.
Reporting to the Executive Director Students and Education and working collaboratively as part of a team, the Director provides organisation-wide leadership in securing industry feedback on the development and delivery of training products focusing on TasTAFE’s strategy, corporate plan and Minister’s priorities.  Overseeing the Centres of Excellence and contributing to the development of training products with industry engagement and contribution, the role will be responsible for specific outcomes of allocated Managers of Education and Training.  The role will also be directly responsible for the performance of Drysdale as a Centre of Excellence.
The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for stakeholder engagement and collaboration, with the ability to work seamlessly with industry, understanding requirements and translating these effectively to ensure the viability, currency and continued improvement of courses, and ultimately ensuring opportunity and outcomes for students.  With deep experience in vocational education and training, the appointee will be strategically minded and future-focussed, with a passion for driving outcomes and sustainability.
