The Position
Mentone Grammar is seeking to appoint an engaging leader to the position of Director People and Culture to take responsibility for establishing a contemporary HR function at Mentone Grammar School, including establishing the overarching HR strategy with embedded HR systems, procedures and policies.
Reporting to the Principal, this position will be a key member of the School Executive leadership team. Responsibility will focus on leading workforce planning requirements to ensure the School maintains efficiencies to meet operational needs. The Director People and Culture will take carriage of  recruitment and selection, induction, consultancy and advice, performance management, organisation development, training and professional development, HR compliance, project management and management of the HRIS/Aurion,
As a highly experienced and contemporary people and culture professional with broad HR skills, the successful candidate will demonstrate a hands-on approach and strong capacity to think both strategically and tactically. You will have a collaborative style, complemented by strong communication skills and a flexible attitude. The ability to generate ideas and execute well thought out and disciplined plans is also essential.
Relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in HR or a related field is mandatory.
