The position
The Director Risk Assurance and Standards will develop and implement Solar Victoria’s risk and assurance framework. The core purpose of this role is to ensure Solar Victoria adheres to the quality and OHS standards set by government and industry as it delivers solar power to Victorian homes.
Reporting to the CEO of Solar Victoria, the Director Risk Assurance and Standards will work with and influence key stakeholders, regulators, government and industry, to advance best practice in the safe, quality installation of solar renewable technology. The Director will also lead the design and implementation of an internal and external audit regime.
The successful candidate will offer proven, resilient leadership coupled with previous success translating strategy into governance mechanisms. Experience setting best practice standards, implementing robust risk management frameworks and quality programs, preferably in the context of the energy and renewables market, is desirable. Relevant qualifications are essential.
The organisation
In an Australian first, the newly established Solar Victoria will deliver solar panels to 700,000 homes over the next 10 years.
This exciting, $1.34 billion program will also see solar hot water installed in 60,000 Victorian households and batteries to 10,000.
Solar Victoria will be based in Morwell with a Melbourne office presence.
